Greetings from Washington D.C! It is with great pleasure that we will be hosting the annual Pan-Icarian Convention in D.C during Labor Day weekend in 2018. We promise to make your D.C. experience a memorable one. There will be true Icarian glendi, warm Icarian-style hospitality and countless Smithsonian museums, historical monuments, plus other amazing attractions for you to visit during your stay in D.C!

Friday August 31st

Washington Nationals vs Milwaukee Brewers at 7:05pm

Group will depart at 6:15pm from hotel lobby.  Purchase tickets thru us in order to sit with group.  Ticket cost $25.

Welcome Reception

Join us in Constitution CDE to welcome our fellow Kariotes.  Cash + Bar with Light Hor d'oeuvres.

Bar Crawl - 21 and older

Meet in hotel lobby at 9pm and walk to nearby bars.  Cost $15. First 100 to sign up receives a gift.

Greek Night - 18 and Over

Ultra Bar Nightclub is just two blocks away from the hotel.  18 to Dance and 21 to Drink with Proper ID.

U.S. Capitol Building Group Tour

Meet in hotel lobby at 1pm, Tours begin at 2:00pm and 2:15pm but you must go thru security first. The Capitol is a 20 minute walk or take the Metro and walk a few minutes to Capitol.  The tour is free but you must reserve a seat.  

Poetry Reading

Join your fellow Kariotes as they read poetry.  No tickets required, but if you wish to reserve a slot to read poetry, please reserve your spot using the ticket purchase form.  Located in the Roosevelt Room.

Basile Live!

Comedy show begins at 7:30pm for $25.

Saturday Night Glendi

Doors open at 9:30pm.  Featured Music by Melodia an Asteria Production.  Live from Greece stringing the violin is Nikos Fakaros.

Sunday September 2nd

Saint Sophia's Greek Orthodox Cathedral

Departures for Divine Liturgy begins at 9am.  Complimentary transportation prvided by Chapter 16 Lefkas.  Located 2815 36th St & Mass. Ave, NW, Washington, DC 20007

Trip to National Zoo

Complimentary shuttle will be provided from 1pm to 4pm.  Or you may simply hop on the Metro straight to the DC National Zoo.  Free Admission for all.

DC Bus Tour

Meet in hotel lobby at 1:00 PM.  Tour is limited to 52 passengers.   Cost is $25.                                                                       A two to three hour private group driving/walking tour of the major Washington sights to include the Capitol Building, Washington Monument, White House, WWII Memorial, Vietnam Veterans Memorial, Lincoln Memorial and Korean War Memorial.  The coach will stop at each location permitting participants to tour the site and ride on to the next!  (Please note that tour does not include entry into the White House or the Capitol Building.)                                      Ticket Cost includes Snack and Bottle of Water.

Youth Banquet

Dinner and Entertainment will be provided for those 12 and under.  Must be potty trained.  Cost $35.  

Grand Banquet

First hour begins with cocktails, followed by a few speakers and a lovely dinner.  Doors open at 6:30pm, ticket cost $125.  Admission to Dance to follow is included.

Sunday Night Glendi

Live Entertainment by Melodia and violin by Nikos Fakaros from Ikaria.  Tickets cost $30.  12 and Under are Free.  Doors open 9:30pm.
